I’m writing as one of your constituents and a supporter of Zero Hour to ask if you will support Early Day Motion 1184 and add your name in support of the Climate and Nature Bill.
When the Bill reached its second reading in January, but with so much at stake for our health, economy, and future generations, four hours of debate simply is not enough. We are confronting the greatest long-term challenge of our time without the joined-up framework needed to respond effectively.
The Government committed to delivering the ‘spirit and substance’ of the Bill, and the Environment Secretary himself expressed disappointment that it did not progress. That commitment was a promising signal, but we have yet to see meaningful action to follow it up.
Will you represent me, and many others in our community, by signing EDM 1184 and pressing for more parliamentary time to debate and vote on the CAN Bill?
