As one of your constituents and a supporter of Zero Hour, I’m writing to ask you to add your name to Early Day Motion 1184 in support of the Climate and Nature (CAN) Bill.
When the Bill reached its second reading in January the debate was cut short. For an issue as important as this, with major implications for public health, the economy, and our long-term future, four hours of debate is nowhere near sufficient.
The Government stated it would deliver the ‘spirit and substance’ of the CAN Bill, yet we have not seen any meaningful progress. By signing EDM 1184, you would be calling for more time in Parliament to properly debate the Bill and demonstrating your commitment to addressing the climate and nature crisis.
