I am writing as a constituent who is concerned about the UK's lack of science-led legislation on the climate and nature crisis.

As you will be aware, the Climate and Nature Bill has its Second Reading on Friday. Please can you let me know if you will be present for this historic debate? Whether you agree with every single aspect of the CAN Bill or not, I believe that it is a matter of principle that one of the greatest issues of our times—the interconnected climate and nature crises—is given the parliamentary time that it deserves.

If made law, this Bill would ensure that the UK meets the internationally-agreed climate and nature reached under previous Conservative Governments (i.e. the Paris Agreement 2015, and the Global Biodiversity Framework 2022).
