I am writing to you about the Climate and Nature (CAN) Bill. The Bill has its Second Reading on Friday 24 January.

I would like to ask you to be in the House of Commons to support this Bill by voting for it. Without your help, it could fall. This would be a disaster. Whether you agree with every single aspect of the CAN Bill or not, I believe it is a matter of principle that one of the greatest issues of our times—the interconnected climate and nature crises—is given the parliamentary time that it deserves.

It would be wonderful if you could be there and also speak in the debate in favour of the Bill on behalf of your constituency. I believe you may need to ask the Speaker for permission ahead of Friday for this.
